If you've ever stared at a booking page trying to figure out the difference between a mini session and a full session, you're not alone. Let me just break it down for you in plain English so you can stop second-guessing yourself and just book the thing.
First, what's actually included?
At Dani Snaps, here's how it breaks down:
- The Quick Snap is 15 minutes at $175 and includes 8 images of your choice.
- The Snap Session is 30 minutes at $275 and includes 15 images of your choice.
- The Full Snap is a full hour at $495 and includes all images from your session.
But here's something I want to clear up right away because I hear this misconception constantly: mini
sessions do not mean a tiny handful of photos to choose from. You will typically see a minimum of 75 photos from our 15 minutes together. You pick your favorites from there and have the option to add on more.
So who is a mini session actually right for?
Honestly? More people than you'd think.
Mini sessions are perfect for kids and adults with short attention spans. If your family hits a wall at the
20 minute mark, a mini is your friend. They're also great for the grumpy husband who agreed to show
up but made zero promises about enjoying himself, the teenager who is only here because you asked
nicely seventeen times, or anyone who just needs a fast, beautiful family update.
The point is: minis are not lesser sessions. They're just faster ones. And for a lot of families, faster is
actually better.
Who should book the full session?
If you have a shy kiddo, please give them the gift of time if you can.
Some kids need a few minutes just to decide if they like me. Which is fair, honestly. But once they
warm up? They will absolutely surprise you. I've left mini sessions wishing I had more time with the little
ones who were just starting to open up right as we wrapped.
Full sessions are also the right call for larger families, maternity sessions, couples who want variety,
and anyone who wants to really settle in and enjoy the experience rather than feel rushed.
My honest advice if you're on the fence?
Book the mini.
I know that sounds like I'm talking myself out of money and honestly, maybe I am. But here's the thing:
I intentionally build buffer time around my sessions. So if we hit 15 minutes and you're having the time
of your life and want to keep going, just say the word. We can extend right then and there and switch
you to a full session with nearly double the included photos.
You don't have to decide everything upfront. Show up, have fun, and we'll figure out the rest together.
One quick tip if you do book a mini and you have a shy or slow-to-warm-up kiddo: show up early and
just let them wander the location before I even arrive. Let them get comfortable in the space first. It
makes a world of difference.
Not sure which session is right for your family? Fill out my contact form at danisnaps.com and just tell me a little about your crew. I'll point you in the right direction, I promise.

Can you tell which photo is from a mini session and which is from a full session?
