FAQ

Can we bring pets or props to our session?

YES! Please bring stuff! While I can't guarantee that it'll be used-I would rather you bring something just in case rather than wish you had brought something and left it behind. I love animals-and if I could I would make it a requirement for all clients to bring their dogs lol

What locations do you recommend for a couples or portrait session?

I have a few go-to spots that I like to use that provide tons of greenery and shade. Everyone loves golden hour, but sunsets don't happen until super late here in Idaho. I try to use locations that provide enough choices in the shade so the photos aren't ruined by direct/harsh sunlight

What if my kids won't cooperate during our session?

Kids can be unpredictable, especially in new environments with new people. I try my best to make them as comfortable as possible. I usually achieve this by following their lead with photos and staying away from strict posing. Playing silly games with the parents will often result in some super cute shots. And if I have to chase them around to get the photo, that's exactly what I'll do!

What should we wear to our session? Do we have to match?

Matching outfits (like everyone in white shirts and jeans) can feel a little flat on camera. Instead, try choosing 2–3 colors that work well together and mix textures, layers, or patterns. The goal is to look like you belong together, not like a uniform. Soft neutrals with a few pops of color always photograph beautifully!”

What different types of sessions do you offer?

Maternity, newborn, events, lifestyle, couples, engagement, senior, family, pets, and even real estate photography. The only one that I will gently decline are weddings as I don't feel that I am experienced enough to capture such an important and meaningful day. But if you aren't sure if it's something that I will do, just ask :)

Can you work some magic with photoshop to remove xyz?

While I do go through every photo that is delivered to make sure that it is perfect (fly aways are removed, lint/markings are removed from clothing, and some background objects like random people or garbage cans) I do not normally adjust someone's body. While I will say that I will consider it on a case by case basis, I cannot guarantee the outcome. If you are wanting retouching on your skin such as redness reduction/acne removal-please mention it before/during our shoot and I can do so in post.
